The Valpolicella Ripasso is also called the baby Amarone. This is because the way the grapes are used is similar. In addition, Amarone grape must is added in the second fermentation. The Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grapes are harvested manually and brought to the winery in small crates. Here they are gently pressed and raised on wood. Then the must of Amarone is added so that Villa Loren Valpolicella Ripasso gets a double fermentation. This will give you a warm, smooth Italian wine, which I'm sure you will fall in love with.
The wood aging and the addition of Amarone's grape must clearly has an effect on Villa Loren Valpolicella Ripasso. The scents are lush, sultry and deep. You can smell warm, dark fruit, firm chocolate, soft plums and stewed sultanas. The taste is overwhelming. Villa Loren Valpolicella Ripasso is a liquid paradise. Bursting with black fruit, plums, cherries and cocoa. The taste of Villa Loren Valpolicella Ripasso seems to linger in your cheeks forever.
