No wonder that this red wine from San Marzano is so popular! Named Gran Trio, this name was given because this red wine is made from 3 great grape varieties from Salento. The grapes used are Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro which come from the warm wine region Salento. The grapes grow under the best circumstances, with lots of sun hours, coolness of the night and a sea breeze.
It is really a party wine because as soon as the cap opens you can already smell the warm Italian sun. It smells of notes of ripe cherries and plums, chocolate and spices. But if you let this red wine swirl in the glass, even more scents of toffee, blueberries and ripe blackberries are released. The taste of this San Marzano Gran Trio is very special, because it is rich and juicy, not too heavy but with quite a few impressions of black fruit, herbs, toffee and vanilla. And we should not forget to tell you that this Gran Trio is really very, very soft in taste. The past vintages have been excellent. This red wine has received many awards in recent years.
