The wine is a Montepulciano, without a doubt one of the most interesting wines of the Abruzzo wine region. A tribute to Blessed Salvatore Lilli, a Franciscan priest and martyr from Abruzzo, the homeland of this powerful and deeply colored Montepulciano.
The wine is characterized by its original and intriguing flavor profile. It is a red dry wine, produced with Montepulciano grape varieties. The area in which the vineyard is located is traditionally and historically suitable for wine-making, producing soft, perfumed wines with great character. The wine is characterized by a good balance between alcohol and acids, fineness of aromas and persistence.
The skin of the grape is kept in contact with the must for a long time, which ensures a lot of color and concentration. The wine is aged in large wooden barrels, which gives it a soft and elegant wood age. Which ultimately results in a wine with a powerful fruity bouquet with aromas of red berries, cherries and violets. The taste is full, soft with notes of cherry fruit and spiciness.
