Discover the story behind the Fleurie "Origines" by winemaker Gregoire Hoppenot, a passionate artisan from the heart of Beaujolais. Gregoire's rich past as a wine merchant has taught him that, just like in real estate, location is crucial for the quality of wine: the origin is everything. With gratitude to the previous generations of winemakers who have tended these beautiful vineyards, Gregoire strives to convey the purest expression of each origin, "sans fard", while respecting the unique qualities and challenges of each vintage.
The Fleurie "Origines" is a harmonious fusion of grapes from the three unique terroirs: Les Roches, les Garants and la Roilette. With a careful vinification process of 10-12 days of maceration in whole bunches and a gentle extraction below 30°C, the essential flavors and aromas of the Gamay grape are preserved. Thanks to vinification with native yeast and minimal addition of sulphites, the wine gets an authentic touch. After this process, the wine matures for 7 months in concrete cuves, resulting in a wine that is both fruity and rich in flavor.
When poured, the vibrant ruby red color of this Gamay comes to life. The bouquet is a seductive mix of red berries, herbs and subtle earthy notes. A sip reveals a juicy and fruity taste, typical of a quality Fleurie. This wine feels perfectly at home next to dishes such as grilled chicken, light pasta or even a classic charcuterie board.
Immerse yourself in the magic of Beaujolais with Gregoire's Fleurie "Origines" and experience the rich history and hard work that goes into every bottle. Cheers to the heritage and passion of this exceptional winemaker!
