Over a hundred years ago, in 1902 to be precise, the Italian Giulio Ferrari had a simple vision, a dream. He wanted to produce a wine that could compete with the best French champagnes. Which were of such a high quality. Now, more than a century later, that vision has more than become reality. Ferrari is leading. Not only at home base Trentino, but throughout Italy. Ferrari stands for craftsmanship.
This Ferarri Maximum Blanc de Blancs is, as the name suggests, made from only white grapes. At the beginning of the 20th century, Giulio Ferrari planted large quantities of Chardonnay grapes, which is unique in Italy, where mainly indigenous grape varieties were used. However, Guilio Ferrari wanted the chardonnay, because this is also the king grape in champagne. Just like Champagne, this Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, also known as the traditionelle method.
It is time to uncork this topper from Trentino, an area in northern Italy. It will certainly be a party as soon as you start pouring Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs. Because this sparkling wine is made from only chardonnay grapes, it has a golden-yellow color. Your senses will be spoiled with this stunner! You smell a wide palette. Toasted bread, brioche, flour and yellow fruits. A sensation for the nose. You can hardly stop smelling. Take a sip of Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs and you will be knocked back. You taste a nice dry bubble, powerful on the tongue, a soft mousse in the mouth. Fantastic white fruit such as pear and peach alternates pleasantly with citrus. A delicious toasted sparkling wine with a long finish. We say cheers!
