The driving force behind Bosc de Carlac Rood is Costers del Sio, a relatively young winery that has already completed an impressive career in a short time. It all starts with the somewhat restless Juan de Porcioles. A man full of enthusiasm, especially in the field of wine. He had a dream to have a vineyard in the countryside, along with some cattle. In 1992 the Porcioles-Buixo family bought a property west of Barcelona. Together with his best friends, the first vines could be planted six years later. The first harvest was brought in five years after the turn of the century. This means that Costers del Sio has not been making wine for twenty years; an enormously short time for understanding Spanish.
Bosc de Carlac Red is a blend of perhaps the most beautiful that Spain has to offer: Garnacha, Syrah and Tempranillo. This trio ensures a balanced whole. Garnacha provides sufficient fruit while the Syrah provides structure. The spiciness in the tempranillo makes this Spanish party complete.
